02 / How to record
Send the original footage.
A 30–60 second performance, recorded simply. We’ll handle the virtual stage.
1080p or higher, landscape
Record horizontally and use your camera’s full-resolution video.
Fixed camera, centered performer
Set the camera on a tripod or stable surface. Keep it still throughout the take.
Knees-up or full-body framing
Leave space above your head, beside your arms, and around your body. Keep gestures in frame.
Even front lighting
Face a window or soft light so your face and body are clearly lit. Avoid strong backlighting.
Clean, clear audio
Record in a quiet room. Check that your voice is easy to hear before your take.
One continuous take preferred
No music, captions, filters, cuts, or visual effects. Send the original footage; we’ll take care of the virtual stage.
